Web 2.0 companies are even weaker than traditional media

The same is true in industry, where the best and brightest vie for the top spots using every means possible. My “draft” took place in investment banking during the late 1980’s. My strategy was to go after the industry group with the best growth prospects. One look at the Forbes 400—then dominated by media moguls such as Ted Turner of TimeWarner, Rupert Murdoch of News Corp., Richard Branson of Virgin, John Kluge of Metreomedia and the late Robert Maxwell of the Mirror Group—told me that media was the place to be.
